Pastors and Church Leaders Training
DATE: Saturday, 12th October, 2024.
TIME: 08:30 to 16:00 hours.
VENUE: Lusaka
Training provided for Pastors and Church Leaders are designed to empower pastors and Church leaders with the skills and knowledge to effectively nurture strong and healthy marriages, address mental health issues, deliver effective counselling services, and deal with challenges of substance abuse and sexual immorality within their communities and exemplifying a sense of responsibility to society, thereby fostering a healthier, more morally upright, and supportive community. Pastors and Church leaders are the spiritual pillars of their communities, providing essential guidance, support, and leadership to their congregations.
In Zambia, these leaders face the dual challenge of addressing pressing societal issues such as substance abuse and sexual immorality, while also managing the administration and economic sustainability of their Churches and ministries. The role of pastors and Church leaders extends beyond spiritual oversight; they are also community influencers who can drive significant social change. Therefore, it is crucial to equip them with advanced leadership skills, knowledge on effective community engagement, and strategies for sustainable ministry operations.
Children's Church Teachers & Mentors
DATE: Saturday, 5th October, 2024.
TIME: 08:30 to 16:00 hours.
VENUE: Lusaka
Children’s Church teachers and mentors hold the critical responsibility of nurturing the spiritual and moral education of the youngest members of the Church community. Their influence is pivotal in laying a strong foundation for children’s future development. In Zambia, where children are increasingly exposed to the dangers of substance abuse and moral decay, the role of these educators becomes even more crucial.
Married Couples
DATE: Sunday, 13th October, 2024.
TIME: 14:00 to 17:00 hours.
VENUE: Lusaka
Married couples form the cornerstone of the family unit and, by extension, the broader society. However, Zambia faces a serious challenge with over 30,000 divorces every year, rampant infidelity, and many marriages that do not last. These issues undermine the fabric of family life and the societal structure as a whole. Strong, healthy marriages contribute significantly to the stability and wellbeing of society. Building better, long-lasting marriages is essential for sustaining homes where children can be raised in a stable and nurturing environment.
Youth Leaders & Super Champions of Change
DATE: Sunday, 6th October, 2024.
TIME: 08:30 to 16:00 hours.
VENUE: Lusaka
Youth leaders play a critical role in shaping the future of society by mentoring and guiding adolescents and youths through the complex challenges of growing up. Locally, the youth are particularly vulnerable to issues such as drug use, alcoholism, tobacco use, and rising rates of HIV infections due to sexual immorality. These challenges are compounded by a culture of irresponsibility and mental health burdens, which are often unaddressed among young people.
This scenario adds a critical part of participants with a scoop of Super Champions of Change who are dedicated agents of positive change and social advocates. This team represents the voiceless and fights for meaningful change in society. These individuals lead efforts to support marginalised communities and push for policy changes that address critical issues such as social protection, poverty, inequalities, substance abuse, vulnerabilities, sexual immorality, and social justice. Apart from mentoring youth, Super Champions play a crucial role in mobilising communities, influencing decision-makers, and creating a society free from harmful vices.
